Far from making saints, the Church simply recognizes those among us who exhibit heroic persistence in living for God and now stand in His Presence forever. From the early martyrs and confessors, to the Fathers of the Church, to Bernard, Teresa, John, Francis, and Therese, to modern saints, to the Doctors of the Church, join us as we examine men and women like us in the Old Testament, in the New Testament, and in the life of the Church. Topics covered include the Communion of Saints, the call to holiness, the springtime of new evangelization, and the lives of extraordinary/yet ordinary men and women, the friends of God.
